Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what personal data Elkabetz Ventures Ltd. (“the company”) collects through elkabetz.me, what it is used for, and what rights you have.
It was written in line with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741‑1981, as amended by Amendment 13 (in force since August 2025), and the Privacy Protection (Data Security) Regulations, 5777‑2017.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of the data collected through this site is Elkabetz Ventures Ltd. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.
This policy covers elkabetz.me only. Each venture (Glance, CHING, yokey, Dio Drive, Dio Tours, Dio Fairs, hello. and ELSE) runs its own site and service with its own privacy policy, which applies when you use it.
What we collect
- What you send us: if you email the company, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message. The site has no forms, sign‑ups or user accounts.
- Technical access data: the hosting provider automatically logs basic request data, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, to run and secure the site.
- Preferences: your accessibility settings and your cookie choice are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and are never sent to us.
Fonts are served from the site itself, with no calls to third‑party font services.
Cookies and browser storage
On your first visit, a notice asks for your choice about cookies. You can choose “Accept all” or “Essential only”, and change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Today the site sets no cookies and runs no analytics tools, advertising pixels or targeted advertising, whatever you choose. It uses only essential browser storage, to remember your accessibility settings and your cookie choice.
If measurement or marketing tools are added in the future, they will run only if you chose “Accept all”, this policy will list them, and you will be asked again.
What it is used for
- Replying to your enquiry and continuing the conversation you started.
- Operating the site, keeping it secure and fixing faults.
- Meeting legal obligations, where they apply.
Your data is not sold, not used for profiling, and not used for marketing mailings without your explicit consent.
Is providing data required?
There is no legal obligation to give us any personal data. You can browse the whole site without providing anything. If you email us without contact details we will not be able to reply.
Who it is shared with
- Vercel Inc. (United States), which hosts the site and processes the access logs described above.
- The company’s email service provider, which stores the correspondence.
- If your enquiry concerns a specific venture, it may be passed to that venture’s team, only so they can answer you.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside Israel. Such transfers are made in accordance with the Privacy Protection (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad) Regulations, 5761‑2001.
How long it is kept
Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to meet legal obligations, and is then deleted. Access logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention policy.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) only, and access to correspondence is limited to the people who need it to respond. The company applies security measures appropriate to the data it holds, in line with the Data Security Regulations.
Your rights
- Access: you may ask to see the personal data held about you (section 13 of the law).
- Correction and deletion: you may ask to correct or delete data that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date (section 14).
- Opting out of direct mail: you may ask to be removed from any mailing list (section 17F).
Send requests to the email address below. We will reply within 30 days. If you believe your rights were not respected, you may also contact the Privacy Protection Authority at the Israeli Ministry of Justice.
Children
The site is aimed at businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date below will change with it.
