Accessibility statement

Standard and level

The site was made accessible in accordance with regulation 35 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773‑2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines, at level AA. Where possible, the site also follows the newer WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.

What was done on the site

• Every page is delivered as complete HTML with a correct language and text direction (Hebrew right‑to‑left, English left‑to‑right).
• A logical heading structure, landmark regions (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a “skip to content” link at the top of each page.
• Full keyboard operation with a clearly visible focus indicator, and no keyboard traps.
• Text and interface colours meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text.
• Every meaningful image has a text alternative; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Links say where they lead, and links that open a new tab announce it.
• Information shown on hover (such as what each venture does) is also available as text and on keyboard focus.
• Animation respects the “reduce motion” system setting, and can be switched off from the accessibility menu.
• The layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops, and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content.

The accessibility menu

The “Accessibility” button at the bottom of every page opens a menu that lets you:

• Enlarge the text in two steps.
• Switch to high contrast.
• Underline all links.
• Stop animations and transitions.
• Reset all settings.

Your choices are saved in your browser and apply on every page of the site.

Supported browsers and assistive technology

The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile, and with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack.

Known limitations

This statement covers elkabetz.me only. Each venture’s own site (reached through the links on the venture pages) is operated separately and has its own accessibility statement.

Despite our efforts, some part of the site may not yet be fully accessible. If you come across one, please let us know so we can fix it.

Reporting an accessibility issue

If you ran into a problem, or need information from the site in another format, please contact the accessibility coordinator. It helps to include:

• The page address and a short description of the problem.
• What you were trying to do.
• The browser, device and assistive technology you were using.

We will reply as soon as possible and do our best to fix the problem.
